Supervised Visitation
With supervised visitation in Arizona, we have guidelines for parenting time depending on the age(s) of the children. Also, the Court may consider the parent’s work schedules as to what would be in the children’s best interest for parenting time. If the situation involves alcohol, drugs or perhaps domestic violence is involved, it may then be appropriate for there to be supervised restricted parenting time. Sometimes it’s done through an agreed upon third party. If the parents cannot agreed upon a third party then the Court has what’s called parenting skills which is a private facility which supervises parenting time. Unfortunately, this is very expensive and can run from $40-$60 per hour and if you’re doing supervised parenting time several times a week this can get very costly. So, whenever possible it is important to agree and select a third party for supervision.]]>
